Kevin Franklin was a teacher before he was a salesman. Kevin, has always been passionate about making music happen in central Indiana, and through that passion, Guitarworks was founded. For over 35 years Kevin and his team have brought quality service and products to the folks of Indiana, helping you and your family to make music.

Matt has been a part of the Guitarworks crew for over four years! He has been a lifetime multi-instrumentalist and performer and is now a member of the Guitarworks sales crew. Come have a chat with Matt and have him guide you with a true player’s knowledge to find the perfect piece for you.

Rene Franklin is the wife of Kevin Franklin and the Lesson Coordinator for the Guitarworks Lesson Program. Rene also leads our “Around the World in Music” camp every summer for pre-k - 2nd grade students.

Rene is passionate about making sure our students find the right teacher and HAVE FUN while doing their lessons. She is the matchmaker for you and your teacher.

Deric is simply the best. There is no other way to put it. Deric’s life is guitar, and he is the best there is. People from all over the Midwest and beyond travel to get their instruments set up by the Doc, and he gives them a reason to.

Deric studied at the famous Bryan Galloup Guitar Hospital in Big Rapids, Michigan and hasn’t slowed down since. Bring your tired and weary instruments in and have new life breathed in them. You won’t be disappointed.

At a very young age Aaryn discovered his passion for music, picked up a guitar and never looked back. Over the years, he’s found himself in a variety of gigging scenarios, from playing local bar gigs, doing recording session work in Nashville, to touring with acts such as Brooks and Dunn, Alan Jackson, and Miranda Lambert.  We welcome Aaryn to the Band Builders program.

In the words of father Kevin Franklin: “Zane was born to do it”. A lifelong musician and performer, Zane is well versed in most all fretted instruments and more! Working as a Guitarworks team member since 15 Zane has over 10 years experience helping clients find what they need and find solutions that work.

Troy Seele is not only a world renowned guitarist, he’s one of our longest standing staff members and salesguys on the Guitarworks team. An expert in both Electric, Acoustic, and Live Audio, he’s the guy you WANT to talk to. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly, Troy will help you find the gear that you need and will help you be confident that you’re working with the right people.

Noah Blades has been part of the Guitarworks family of teachers for over 20 years.  He has been a coach of Band Builders for over 5 years.  Noah has gained a reputation in the Indianapolis area as a dedicated instructor and performer.  With over 2 decades of playing experience coupled with 12 years of guitar studies under Bob and Tom guitarist Charlie Smith, as well as his experience studying with Indianapolis jazz great Bill Lankton, Noah is the ideal Head Coach for the Guitarworks Band Builders Program.
